Papanda as a cuddly plush toy: approx. 21 cm tall, in a sitting pose, with a big belly, embroidered eyes, and the brown hat that makes him unmistakable. Soft plush, just as suitable for cuddling as it is for displaying on a shelf.

"Panda! Go Panda!" is a short film duo from 1972/1973 - directed by Isao Takahata, written and designed by Hayao Miyazaki - and thus one of the earliest works by the future Ghibli creators. Papanda is the easy-going father panda who takes in the orphan girl Mimiko and his son. His round belly and too-small hat have been cult favorites ever since, and the character is considered by many to be a direct precursor to Totoro.
