A Paper Theater by Ensky from “Howl's Moving Castle”: several laser-cut paper layers create a small 3D scene with Howl and Sophie walking hand in hand through the air above the rooftops of the town – framed by roses. Once assembled, the scene measures approx. 10 x 8 x 4.2 cm.

In Hayao Miyazaki's “Howl's Moving Castle” (2004), the young hat-maker Sophie is turned into an old woman by the Witch of the Waste and finds refuge in the walking castle of the wizard Howl. At their first meeting, Howl rescues Sophie from two soldiers and walks her through the air above the town's rooftops.
